BA CityFlyer to Launch Flights to Jersey and
Gibraltar from London City Airport
|
British Airways has unveiled plans to launch flights
to Jersey (JER) and Gibraltar (GIB) from London City Airport
(LCY).
BA CityFlyer will operate the new services with
Embraer E190 aircraft.
The airline will initially operate the routes over
the summer period, with two flights per week each - on Mondays and
Fridays - taking off on 25 June 2021.
Tom Stoddart, Managing Director of BA CityFlyer,
which will operate the new services, said, "It’s great to be able
to launch these two new services to Gibraltar and Jersey – it’s
something customers have been asking us to do for quite a while.
Whether it’s for a holiday or visiting friends or relatives who
live either end of route when the time is right, customers will
benefit from direct flights to and from the extremely conveniently
located London City Airport.”
British Airways will continue to operate its
services from London Heathrow (LHR) to Jersey and Gibraltar alongside these new London City
services.
