The Grand Finals of Miss International Queen
2023 took place on Saturday, 24 June.
The annual event at Tiffany's Show in Pattaya,
Thailand, is the most respected and well known transgender beauty
pageant in the world.
It attracts contestants and fans from around the
globe, some of whom have had to travel for almost three days,
transiting in numerous cities just to reach the popular resort
destination located a little over 2 hours south of Bangkok.
This year, 23 contestants competed for the honour and dream of being crowned Miss
International Queen 2023, an accomplishment that may well change
their life.
To learn more about the contestants as people, their
motivation for taking part, their journey to reach this moment,
and why they chose Miss International Queen as a platform, Steven
Howard of TravelNewsAsia.com sat down with seventeen of them to
ask those exact questions and many more besides.
