Siam@Siam Design Hotel Pattaya - HD Video Interview with
Clive Nagington
The Siam@Siam Design Hotel Pattaya is one of
those quirky, trendy hotels that aims to break away from the
cookie-cutter design mould of a lot of branded hotels, to deliver
something refreshingly different.
The colourful artwork on the ceilings, the
double-sided wardrobes, Malin+Goetz bathroom amenities, even paint
brush do not disturb signs, all help to differentiate the property
from what a
road warrior is used to experiencing at a hotel.
The popular seafood buffet with all you can drink
beer, two floors of rooftop swimming pools, friendly and well
trained staff, and one of the coolest rooftop bars in the city,
are icing on the cake.
Located in North Pattaya, directly opposite
Central Marina and a short walk away from Tiffany's Show Pattaya, Terminal 21,
Alcazar Cabaret Show and
the beach, the Siam@Siam Design Hotel Pattaya is in an ideal
location for families, friends and single travellers who want a
little more peace and quiet than South Pattaya is commonly known
for, but still be close enough to walk there.
To learn more about the property, Steven Howard of
TravelNewsAsia.com sat down with Clive Nagington, Hotel Manager,
on 22 June 2022.
In this exclusive interview, Clive tells us how
forward bookings have been affected by Thailand's reopening and
gradual scrapping of travel restrictions and COVID19-related
requirements, where those bookings are coming from and which
markets are picking up the most.
We also discuss the Thai domestic market, what the
hotel is doing to fill beds mid-week and for longer periods than
the traditional one or two-night stay that is common with Thai residents, and
how the property manages its rates and inventory when so many
people are booking at the very last minute.
Steven asks whether the property has any
renovation plans, Clive's thoughts on the current trend for hotels
to offer guests flexible, social areas that make it easier to
interact, what is new at the property and how the hotel is using
its F&B outlets to boost revenue.
We also talk about the hotel's CSR initiatives
within the local community and what plans it has to become more
sustainable and reduce hotel waste. All that and much, much more
in the HD video interview and podcast below.
Visit the hotel's website to check availability and
make a booking.
