Thailand Yacht Show Pattaya 2022 - Interview
with Andy Treadwell, CEO of Verventia
(03 June 2022, 09:29 +07)
The last time Ocean Marina hosted and organised
the Pattaya Boat Show was in November 2019, the 8th edition of the
event created to promote sailing and other watersports in
Thailand.
With lots of open space, attractive gardens and
plenty of different quality hotel rooms nearby, Ocean Marina, the
largest marina in South East Asia, is located in Jomtien, just a
few miles south of central Pattaya, around a 90-minute drive
from Bangkok, with three international airports - DMK, BKK and UTP
- in close proximity, and a fourth - HHQ - only a couple of hours
away by ferry, making it the perfect venue to host large events.
While the Pattaya Boat Show, organised by Ocean
Marina, is no more, the venue has been chosen to host the Thailand Yacht Show
from 9-12 June 2022.
Being organised by Verventia, Steven Howard of
TravelNewsAsia.com sat down with Andy Treadwell, Verventia's CEO,
to ask him about the event which will comprise of two components
with Pattaya taking place next week, and the second part scheduled
for Phuket later in the year.
In this exclusive interview, filmed over the
internet on 1 June 2022, Andy tells us why the event is called the
Thailand Yacht Show rather than the Pattaya Boat Show, how the two
components in Pattaya and Phuket will differ, what the aim of the
Pattaya show is, how many visitors he expects and what the opening
and closing times are.
We also discuss what entertainment visitors to the
Thailand Yacht Show Pattaya can expect, what yachts there will be
to see and whether there will be any educational components for
people to learn from.
Andy tells us what their recently confirmed
partnership with AXA Insurance means and shares his vision for the
growth of the Thailand Yacht Show in the years to come. All that
and much, much more in the video and podcast below.

Editor's note:
As the above video interview was conducted over the internet, I
would like to apologise that the audio and visual quality are not
up to the same HD/UHD quality that they normally would be. Hopefully it won't be too
long until we are once again conducting exclusive video interviews
in person, but for now we have to make do with what we have. Thank
you.
