Mövenpick Siam Hotel Na Jomtien Pattaya - Interview with Dmitry Chernyshev, GM
(28 June 2022, 18:10 +07)
Many hotels will tell you they are
family-friendly, most will have a kid's club and some will have a
variety of activities available to keep them occupied, even
offering babysitting services for those moments when you'd like
some special time for yourselves.
How many truly succeed in creating an
environment that children will love and dream of returning to
is debatable, though it does not take long to work out once you
have checked-in.
The Mövenpick Siam Hotel Na Jomtien Pattaya is one
property that has certainly succeeded in creating a fantastically
fun and safe environment for children, and their parents, to
enjoy.
There are rooms that have been designed especially
for families with young children featuring bunk beds, a
PlayStation and special kid's amenities; a very special "Kid's Wet
Zone" with a slide and other fun water-related elements to enjoy;
a very large swimming pool with direct beach access where
complimentary kayaks and paddle boats are available; fireshows and
other entertainment; a children's club, outdoor playground and
menus; plus of course, Mvenpick's signature chocolate hour to
look forward to every afternoon!
Located directly on Jomtien beach, just a short
walk from Ocean Marina and well away from the infamous
hustle and bustle of central Pattaya to the north, the hotel is
also a popular place to hold meetings, special events and small conferences, as
well as with couples looking to enjoy a romantic getaway.
To learn more about the property, how it has been
impacted by COVID19 and what plans are in store for the future,
Steven Howard of TravelNewsAsia.com sat down with Dmitry
Chernyshev, General Manager of Mövenpick Siam Hotel Na Jomtien
Pattaya, on 11 June 2022 to ask him those questions and many more.
In the interview, Dmitry, who used to bring his
wife and children to enjoy the resort's facilities even before he
became GM, tells us
how he and his team have transformed the property into even more
of a fun, family-friendly hotel, what the special family rooms are
all about and whether the hotel has plans for more, how the
property has adjusted to the needs of the domestic Thai market and
how they fill the property mid-week.
We also discuss forward bookings, markets, new
technology and how the hotel overcomes the increasingly
industry-wide problem of finding and retaining quality staff. All
that and much more in the HD video and podcast below.
