Air France Launches Bag Drop Service at MICE Venues and Five Accor Hotels in Paris

Dark/Light Mode (03/08/23)  Air France customers now have the option of dropping-off and checking-in their baggage at locations in and around Paris, prior to arriving at the airport.

The service has been launched in partnership with Alltheway, an innovative start-up specializing in travel and mobility.

The bag drop service is already available at eight locations, including the following five Accor hotels: Novotel Tour Eiffel, Mercure Tour Eiffel, Novotel Les Halles, Mercure Montparnasse and Pullman Bercy; as well as the Paris Expo Porte de Versailles, Villepinte Exhibition Centre and the Palais des Congrès convention centre.

Alltheway takes the baggage and delivers it directly to the airline’s check-in desk at the airport. Travellers can even track their bags to the airport and subsequently to their destination using the “follow my bag” tool in the Air France app.

The service is available from 30 hours up to 4 hours before the flight’s departure, depending on the bag drop location, and costs 25 euros for one bag, then 10 euros per additional bag.

It is available on all flights operated by Air France departing from Paris-Charles de Gaulle, with the exception of flights to Tel Aviv, Israel.

Already available in many other countries, bag drop services such as the above, transform the overall air travel experience by removing a lot of the stress associated with carrying often large and heavy bags all the way to the airport.

It also allows travellers to better enjoy the city on the day of their departure, without worrying about hotel check-out times or having to go back to the hotel to pick up their luggage, and also makes the airport experience so much more pleasant.

Air France has said that it will progressively expand the service to more locations in the near future and is hoping to offer a similar service for flights departing from Paris-Orly. The airline has even hinted that it may offer a home baggage check-in and pick-up / delivery service in the future.
