Choice Opens First Ascend Hotel Collection

Choice has expanded its portfolio of hotels in
Japan with the opening of the hotel around Takayama, the first Ascend Hotel Collection
property in Asia.
With 152 rooms designed in both Japanese and
Western style, hotel around Takayama is located less than a
kilometre from Takayama train station and approximately 85 km from
the closest airport, Toyama (TOY).
Facilities at the hotel include a restaurant, bar
and an onsen for those who enjoy the popular Japanese tradition of
hot spring baths.

introduction to Japan is through such an authentic property as
hotel around Takayama,” said Choice Hotels Asia-Pacific CEO, Trent

International’s master franchise agreement in Japan, has more than
70 properties across the cities of Tokyo, Nagasaki, Hiroshima,
