The Four Seasons Hotel Kuala Lumpur has
appointed Blaise Montandon as General Manager.
Blaise Montandon
After growing up in a small town in Switzerland, Blaise
graduated from Lausanne Hotel School and HEC - University of
Lausanne.
He then worked for two hotels in Geneva before his
career took him to Singapore, Japan, China, Thailand and India,
along with stints in Europe and North Africa.
Before moving to Kuala Lumpur, Blaise worked as General Manager of Four Seasons Resort The Nam Hai, Hoi
An in Vietnam.
Blaise’s
route through the industry has been somewhat unusual, from finance
to sales and marketing to operations and development, via a wide
range of pre-openings, multi-use development projects and even two
years running a Bangkok-based company that specialised in
providing airlines with inflight services and products.
Along
the way, working for respected brands such as Aman, Beaufort,
Raffles and Swissotel, he has learned to prioritize what he believe counts: building
a close-knit team, having fun at work, and extending a sense of
positivity and joy to everyone – guests, staff and community.
In his personal time, Blaise is looking forward to
enjoying KL’s gastronomic culture, especially its legendary street
food, as well as exploring the local art scene through museums,
galleries and events.
