Langham Appoints Markus Aklin
as Vice President of Development - Asia Pacific

Langham Hospitality has appointed Markus Aklin
as Vice President of Development - Asia Pacific.
Markus Aklin
A Swiss national, Markus led Onyx
Hospitality Group's development in Asia Pacific for over 10 years.
As Vice President of Development, he successfully executed Onyx's market entry strategies into eight
destinations.
Markus commenced his career in the region managing
operations and pre-opening projects in 2003.
He has relocated to Hong Kong from Bangkok and
will report directly to Langham Hospitality's Chief Executive
Officer,
Brett Butcher.
Markus is a graduate of the Swiss Hotel Management
School Lucerne in Switzerland and has an EMBA from Sasin School of
Management in Bangkok, Thailand / Kellogg School of Management
Northwestern University Chicago, USA.
He is fluent in Thai, German, English and
French.
“South East Asia and the Pacific are important
