Smiths Detection has entered into an agreement
with Kromek to distribute wearable radiation detection and
identification solutions in North and South America.
The deal will expand user access to Kromeks
technology by leveraging Smiths Detections regional presence and
reputation.
Smiths Detection to distribute Kromek's D3 and D5 radiation detectors
Inder Reddy, President of Smiths Detection, said, This agreement with Kromek to distribute wearable radiation detectors, allows Smiths
Detection to supply a full range of field-based CBRNe solutions to
customers, helping to protect front line defenders and the
communities they serve.
With its US-based
headquarters in Edgewood, MD, Smiths Detection will distribute the Kromek
engineered and manufactured D3 and D5 series of wearable, highly
sensitive radiation detectors that alarm when radiation is
detected and help protect users from exposure to illegal or
unsecure radioactive material.
