Marriott has expanded its portfolio of hotels in
Colombia with the opening of a hotel in Barranquilla, one of the
five most important cities in the country and a major tourist
destination.
The city, which hosts the annual 5-day Carnival of Barranquilla,
is located on the Caribbean coast, next to the delta of the
Magdalena River and close to the Caribbean Sea.

“Colombia is a destination known for its lively
and rich culture with Barranquilla being a bustling seaport and
the capital of Cumbia music,” said Brian King, President, Caribbean and Latin
America (CALA), Marriott International. “Marriott Hotels has

The Barranquilla Marriott Hotel features 191 guest
rooms and nine suites featuring technology-enabled work
surfaces, open closets and LED TVs. Additionally, through a longstanding partnership with TED, guests will have access to specially curated in-room TED content to enjoy during their stay.

Club lounge, over 19,000 square feet of meeting and event space, a fitness center,
outdoor swimming pool and even special accommodation for four-legged
guests.
