Singapore

(30 Nov 2021)
AirAsia has launched Vaccinated Travel Lane
(VTL) flights between Kuala Lumpur International Airport 2 (klia2)
and Changi Airport in Singapore.
Fully vaccinated travellers from Malaysia who wish
to travel to Singapore must meet all the necessary government
requirements prior to purchasing their flights and upon arrival,
as must any fully vaccinated travellers from Singapore who wish
to visit Malaysia.

“AirAsia would like to thank both
governments of Malaysia and Singapore for paving the way for full
travel resumption between one of the busiest shuttle routes in the
world - Kuala Lumpur International Airport 2 and Singapore Changi
Airport with the commencement of the Vaccinated Travel Lane
(VTL),” said Riad Asmat, AirAsia Malaysia CEO. “As border restrictions are lifted, AirAsia wishes
to assure its guests of the stringent health and safety protocols
enforced on all of our flights with our highly trained and fully
vaccinated crew continuing to deliver the world’s best service
during the pandemic. We have prepared extensively to ensure all of
our guests could travel safely and seamlessly with peace of mind.”
Only
fully-vaccinated cabin crew and ground staff operate the flights
and only
fully-vaccinated travellers are allowed onboard the AirAsia
Malaysia aircraft. It is also mandatory to check-in
via the airasia Super App, and the airline is rolling out its FACES facial
recognition boarding system that will make the entire travel
journey fully digital and contactless.
