World Tourism Association for Culture and
Heritage Appoints Nigel Fell as President and CEO
|
(28 Oct 2021)
Nigel Fell, the former Chief Commercial Officer of the World
Tourism Association for Culture and Heritage (WTACH), has been
appointed President and Chief Executive Officer,
effective immediately.
Chris Flynn, the former CEO, will assume the
position of Executive Chairman.
Flynn, who is based in Australia, said the new internal arrangement would help
WTACH better serve its global membership base and make it easier to fulfill engagement
requests and commitments on behalf of destinations and tourism
stakeholders.
With travel restrictions around the world
gradually easing, Fell said that WTACH is “ready” to help governments and industry better manage their
cultural and heritage tourism assets, experiences and
delivery through training modules and advising on robust policy
and procedure protocols.
Fell, who is based in Europe, will attend the
Qatar Travel Mart and Conference in Doha next month where he will make two keynote
presentations and join panel discussions.
