Ms. Vipasiri Napawongdee has been appointed as Cluster
Director of Marketing Communications of the Meliá Koh Samui as
well as the Meliá Chiang Mai.
Vipasiri’s appointment follows an eight-year stint
as Director of Marketing Communications at The Okura Prestige
Bangkok.
Before that, Khun Vipasiri worked as Director of
Marketing Communications at the Anantara Bangkok Riverside Resort
& Spa and InterContinental Samui Baan Taling Ngam Resort.
She also
spent three and a half years with InVision Hospitality as Director
of PR and Marketing Communications, three and a half years at the
JW Marriott Bangkok as Public Relations Manager and three years at
the world famous Chiva Som International Health Resort in Hua Hin.
All that followed the three years Khun Vipasiri worked as a Flight
Attendant for Korean Air.

Mai
Previously operating as the Imperial Boat House, Meliá
has completely revamped and upgraded this very special property on Koh Samui’s Choeng
Mon Beach. Today, the Meliá Koh Samui resort features a host of facilities including
159 rooms, 41 suites including “boat suites” made from refurbished
merchant vessels, two restaurants, a pool bar, a lagoon pool,
a two-level infinity pool, an executive lounge, spa, fitness centre, ballroom and conference facilities and, for families, a
kid’s club, outdoor playground and mini water park.
Slated to debut in the fourth quarter of 2021, the 260-room Meliá Chiang Mai will
feature a 360-degree rooftop bar, an executive lounge, two restaurants, a pool
bar and lobby bar, spa, gymnasium, ballroom and other function
venues, kid’s club and more.
