Franck Rodriguez Returns to Centara as GM of Group's First Hotel in Vietnam

The Centara Mirage Resort Mui Ne in Vietnam has appointed Franck Rodriguez as General Manager.

The brand-new, fully-integrated leisure destination will mark the debut of the Centara brand in Vietnam.

The resort is scheduled to open in the third quarter of 2021.

Franck, a French national with more than 20 years of experience, has worked for some of the biggest brands in the hospitality industry, including Leading Hotels of the World (LHW), InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) and Starwood Hotels & Resorts (now part of Marriott International).

He is also no stranger to the Centara brand, having spent a formative part of his career as the F&B Manager of Centara Villas Samui in Thailand.

More recently, Franck was Group Director of Operations with The Unique Collection of Hotels & Resorts for almost five years, overseeing a portfolio of 27 properties, before joining IHG where he was responsible for the opening of several key hotels, including Holiday Inns in Bali and Thailand, Vietnam’s inaugural Hotel Indigo in Ho Chi Minh (Saigon), and the Asia Pacific region’s first-ever voco hotel in Danang.

Located in Hon Rom Bay, just a few hours’ drive from Saigon, the Centara Mirage Resort Mui Ne is centred around an “Explorer’s Playground” water park, complete with pools, slides, a sailing ship, lazy river, splash zone and cliff-jumping rock.

The resort will feature 984 rooms and pool villas, six restaurants, six bars, playgrounds, an entertainment complex, family lounge, and two spas - one for children, and another for adults.
